Twelve games into the 2021-22 season and the star-studded Lakers are off to a 7-5 start, coming off their most recent overtime home win against a marquee team in the Miami Heat.
They have won plenty of close games, but it’s a huge improvement having started the season losing their first two games against the Warriors and the Suns.
It came right down to the wire against the Heat on Wednesday night but the Lakers will take it, considering that veteran players like LeBron James and Rajon Rondo didn’t suit up for this one. Apart from, of course, the guys who are injured like Trevor Ariza and Talen Horton-Tucker.
After playing 12 games in the league’s three weeks, the Lakers play their next nine games in the span of a fortnight. Here’s some information regarding those upcoming games.
When do the Lakers play next?
After their game against the Heat at STAPLES Center, the Lakers next play on Friday, Nov. 12 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Following which they play another two at home against the San Antonio Spurs (Nov. 14) and the Chicago Bulls (Nov. 15), before heading off on a five-game Eastern Conference road trip.
Lakers upcoming schedule
After their game against the Heat at STAPLES Center, the Lakers play three more at more before going on a five-games-in-seven-days Eastern Conference road trip.
This will be the first road games of the season for the Lakers. The last two seasons, the LA franchise has begun strong on the road.
Prior to this road trip, the Lakers have only played three road games and they’ve gone 1-2 in those.
Even with their upcoming air travel, the Lakers still play a majority of their upcoming games at home – seven of their next 13.
